01 - ASSIMILATE SCRATCH AND PLAY PRO

GENERAL

ASSIMILATE SCRATCH® is Digital Imaging platform for on-set, dailies and post-production. It offers a wide variety of workflows and features from high performance playback to conform, editing, color grading, compositing, transcoding, finishing, advanced data-management capabilities, an application programming interfaces (API) for third party integration and more.

SCRATCH contains different Toolsets for targeted workflows. Next to that, ASSIMILATE offers targeted products, like Play Pro, with a subset of functions. This manual covers all the functions and if applicable will refer to the specific Toolset or (derivative) product.

It is recommended that you read this manual carefully when planning to do projects with SCRATCH. This manual is available both on-line on the Assimilate Support site at www.assimilatesupport.com and as a pdf download from that same site. The on-line version is continuously updated when updates are released for the same version. The pdf version of the manual is in general only created with each first release of a new version.

Besides this manual and various articles on the Support Site there are additional sources of information to learn about SCRATCH and options to post questions you might have: the ASSIMILATE Support Team, the SCRATCH user list and ASSIMILATE Tutorial videos at https://assimilate.sweb.media.
